I love God with all my heart. God is not a part of my life, He is my life. You may ask, "Whom do you mean by God". God is named "I Am" and is also called the Eternal One. In English we have roughly translated it as Jehovah. When the time came that God had planned, God sent a part of Himself to live in the world as a perfect example for us humans and finally to die on the cross so that we could be made right with Him. Also He was scourged and those stripes put on His back were for my healing. But the good news (gospel) is that after he died on the cross He was buried and then rose from the dead and defeated the Adversary once and for all. Now we don't have to dread or fear death. He has gone before us as our trail blazer and thrown open the gates that would keep us in the grave. Praise be to HIS great NAME! His name in Hebrew is Yesuah(Josuah) which is God's salvation. Now most of us know the story but is it real and a part of us, written on our heart. Jesus is real to me because I have known His healing and known His peace first hand. I have been a disciple of His a long time. I have not always stayed with Him but He has never left me.
So I recommend Jesus to you. I won't give you any formulas or schemes to follow. I just say to you, trust Him, love Him because He already loves you. Make Him a reality in your life. Let Him engrave Himself on your heart. You will not regret it.
You can find out lots about Jesus and what he expects of us as disciples in the books called the Gospels (Matthew, Mark Luke and John) and in the book of Acts in the books written during the New Testament era.
He says to all, "Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me-watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly." Matthew 11:28-30 in The Message version of New Testament writings.
